I have known Joy for 10 years, during which time she has helped me both personally and at the Golf Club. I am delighted she has decided to ‘go it alone’ and I’m sure she will make a success of it. On the employee front, Joy has conducted two full-time staff recruitments for the Club one at Chef level and one at Bar Manager/Steward level. Both were conducted extremely professionally right through the process of advertising and conducting initial interviews to the final selection process. Joy then managed the start dates and beyond to make sure the appointees had settled in.

On the personal front, Joy has advised me of potential career developments and we liaise regularly on opportunities, discussing whether or not they might be suitable. I can recommend from personal knowledge that any Secretary/General Manager wishing to ‘make a move’ would feel confident with Joy’s management of the situation in total privacy. Her strength from a Secretary’s point of view, is trying to ensure a match between Candidate and Club. If it is right she will tell you and if it is wrong she will tell you.
